Remettra initiates provider payments based upon the preference of individual providers. MedRemit® supports both printed checks and electronic funds transfers (EFT). EFT payments, also known as direct deposit payments, are made through the Federal Reserve Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) Network - from bank accounts of healthcare payors to the bank accounts of specified providers.

We have developed functionality within our MedRemit system to make the payment process a robust and flexible tool providing for economies of scale. MedRemit includes:

• A proprietary registration engine for populating a provider profile registry containing provider demographics, banking account information, and remittance delivery preferences.
• A payment and remittance advice generation method that supports both printed and electronic delivery from a single remittance data file.
• An e-mail notification system notifying providers of initiated payments.
• A web portal for providers to securely access current and historical payment and remittance information.
